I told them I didn't want to renew my contract then, and then when it was time for the contract to renew my manager renewed it anyway and then marked me no call no show for the shifts I told them I couldn't work. The last time my contract came up for renewal I was told that I'd have to work a completely different shift than what I hired on for and I told them I wasn't available for those times and they told me too bad. You had to have so many people leave 5 star reviews of your calls, but you weren't supposed to ask them to do so back in the day. I was passed over for permanent hire twice because I hadn't consistently met metrics. I took a full time position that I wasn't sure I could handle the hours for and then was handed mandatory overtime to the tune of 8-20 hours a week for the entire contract. I suspect things have changed now, but I was a seasonal employee. The leadership team is out of touch and they only care about their own wallets, so don't expect any empathy or help from them. ![]() As for working remote, they've cut at least 75% of those roles (like mine) and if you didn't relocate, they considered it your resignation. ![]() There were plenty of opportunities for advancement but with all the layoffs, relocation demands, and hiring freeze those opportunities are few and far between. Basically, if you work in customer service, you don't make squat compared to the rest of the organization. For example L5 customer service associates make as much or less than L4 associates in operations and Seller Support. The pay seems good on the surface, but raises are pathetic and there are huge discrepancies between departments when considering level. The benefits Amazon offer are great, there's no denying that, but unless you're part of leadership the good pretty much ends there. I didn't work in a warehouse, so I can't talk about the horrors we've all heard there, but my experience as a remote worker ended badly.
